The Position

We are looking for a motivated, organised, and proactive professional to join our team in a hybrid role which will provide support to key areas of the business both on the road and in the warehouse.  

The role is varied with time apportioned to each role according to the daily business needs.

When driving the successful candidate with work closely with Goods In and the Sales team to ensure the delivery of products to our customers in an efficient and timely manner. When supporting the Warehouse, you will be required to complete a diverse range of tasks ensuring that the warehouse remains organised, runs efficiently and meets our health and safety standards. Both areas of this role require you to always provide excellent customer service.

The Responsibilities

 ·         Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles and delivering goods in a timely and efficient manner.

·         Being compliant with the traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record. 

·         Carrying out daily checks to ensure that vehicles are clean, safe to drive and appropriate records are completed and maintained.

·         Preparing orders for delivery by processing requests, collating orders, packing boxes. 

·         Liaise closely with the sales and transport section to ensure orders are complete and delivered in line with our customers’ requirements.

·         Maintain a professional appearance, ensuring PPE and uniform is appropriate to the delivery.

·         Using a handheld device to evidence proof of delivery.

·         Sorting, stacking and placing warehouse items with a forklift truck, as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.

·         Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks and vans with a forklift truck in line with health & safety procedures.

·         Check in products/materials swiftly and professionally. 

·         Maintain inventory controls and prepare goods for delivery. 

·         Maintain accurate records and document all customer activities and discussions. 

·         Ensuring all stock movements are accurately recorded.

·         Maintaining warehouse and department tidiness/recycling as appropriate. 

·         Proactively making recommendations to the Operations Supervisor to help identify opportunities to update or improve procedures and standards.

·         Complete any other reasonable duties as directed by the Operations Supervisor to aid business / department success.

·         Adhere to Group Policies and Procedures.

·         Adhere to the Group Health and Safety Policy.

Adheres to and delivers the Group Values in all aspects of the role.

Experience / Qualifications / Education

·         A firm understanding of the need to deliver excellent customer service 

·         Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.

·         Works in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

·         Organisation – ensuring the warehouse is supporting the other departments effectively and efficiently.

·         Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
