Music in Action

Founded in 2006, Music in Action is a registered Jersey charity which transforms and enriches lives and communities through music.  

We do this by creating opportunities for people from all backgrounds and of all ages to interact together with musical experiences that inspire, educate, and support wellbeing. From concerts with the Jersey Chamber Orchestra to bringing thousands of children together to perform Jersey Sings, from seeing children engage with music for the first time in a classroom or the eyes of care home residents sparkle as they remember a song, Music in Action provides a vital service to the island. 

Our Mission

To educate, inspire and create through music with:

• school workshops for children from Mont A L'Abbe to St Martin's school;
• therapeutic musical performances in the hospital, hospice and care homes;
• opportunities to hear live music in Jersey at the Liberation Festival or the Jersey Chamber Orchestra concerts; and
• platforms for local artists to perform at our events such as Jersey Sings, or the Armistice Day concert.

We always partner together with other charities to maximise the benefits of our work.
