We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Administrator to join our dynamic team, on a 25 hour per week fixed-term contract until the end of 2024.

The Position

In the field of telecommunications, messaging and number lookup services play crucial roles in how we communicate via phones and other devices. JT provides top-tier SMS and Number Lookup services through our JT Messaging Hub. We are committed to ensuring our clients experience unparalleled quality and reliability.

In this role, you will support the team with administrational tasks that will ensure that SMS and Number Lookup traffic associated with the JT Messaging Hub business is maintained with the highest standards of quality and profitability.

You will collaborate closely with our Sales and Support teams, as well as with suppliers, to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensuring that information held on suppliers is accurate, up-to-date and organized enabling efficient operations and effective decision-making
  • Maintaining and mapping an updated directory of mobile network ID’s to ensure smooth communication and delivery
  • Registering SMS campaigns with carriers or regulators to ensure compliance and avoid spam
  • SMS whitelisting to allow specific numbers or domains to bypass filters to deliver messages directly 
  • SMS testing to verify the functionality and delivery of SMS messages across different carriers and devices
  • SMS troubleshooting and escalate issues in message delivery, such as delays or failures, by diagnosing and resolving network or configuration problems
  • Maintaining a knowledge base of SMS traffic registration procedures and requirements, to ensure that SMS traffic is properly managed and monitored according to industry standards and legal requirements
  • Run reporting and analytics on a periodic basis 
  • Work with Support teams to resolve traffic delivery issues promptly and in line with SLAs
  • Previous experience in an analytic role or similar
  • Advanced MS Office skills (namely Excel and PowerPoint)
  • High level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
  • Effective communication skills to work with internal teams and external suppliers
