HGV/HIAB DRIVER

We are looking for a motivated, organised, and proactive professional to join our Transport Team as a driver.  The role is varied with the main element being the careful and safe delivery of goods ordered to our customers.  A HGV and HIAB licence is required for this role.

·         Reviewing orders scheduled for delivery using the Journey Manifest and assisting the transport coordinator plan routes. 

·         Carrying out daily checks to ensure that vehicles are clean, safe to drive and ensure records are maintained.

·         Assisting and supervising the loading of goods to be delivered in a safe, efficient manner.

·         Assisting with safe unloading and delivery of goods from vehicles on site.

·         Providing excellent customer service, answering any questions and queries.

·         Ensuring orders are delivered complete, in good order and that the customer is fully satisfied.

·         Using handheld devices correctly to evidence proof of delivery.

·         Operating equipment and machines safely and competently whilst ensuring that the vehicle is not overloaded.

·         Holds a Heavy Goods License 

·         Holds a HIAB License 

·         Basic mechanical knowledge

·         Excellent verbal, written communication and listening skills.

·         Works with a safety-first approach at all times.

·         Ability to work within a team and individually.

·         Works in a professional and courteous manner.
