The Position
The role of Trainee at Summit Group will support the delivery of high-quality administrative and client service activities across the business while developing a strong understanding of the financial services industry.
These entry-level roles provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within a professional services environment. The successful candidate will receive training and support to develop technical knowledge, regulatory awareness, and professional skills, whilst working towards relevant professional qualifications where applicable.
We are looking for school leavers, graduates and career switchers.

The Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team alongside managers and administrators;
- Responding to ad-hoc client queries;
- General administrative duties, including inputting of payments and processing of recommendations;
- Assist with the maintenance of accurate records and registers
- Assisting with bookkeeping, preparing reconciliations of subsidiaries and cash balances
- To apply internal risk management procedures; and
- Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned.
Experience / Qualifications / Education
- Qualifications such as A-Levels, grade C and above, Diploma or Bachelor’s degree, motivation to study towards professional qualification.
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Well organised - with accuracy and timely completion of work
- Good administrative skills and numeracy skills are required
- Flexible, with the ability to work to time pressures and react calmly to changing demands
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word and Excel
- To be brave enough to ask questions and raise issues appropriately
- To look for information and for (external) procedures related to applicable legislation
- To show interest / understand the structure in place
- To show interest / understand the transactions and operations carried out
- To be aware of the limits of his/her decision-making entitlement and not to take risks
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly
