The Position
An established family feel construction business in Guernsey is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team, managing the financial and contractual aspects of a variety of construction projects while supporting successful project delivery. This employer offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Responsibilities
- Managing project budgets, cost reporting and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle
- Preparing valuations, managing variations and agreeing final account
- Administering contracts and supporting claims, commercial risk and compliance
- Working closely with clients, contractors and project teams to support project delivery
- Monitoring subcontractor accounts, payments and commercial performance
Experience / Qualifications / Education
- Experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry
- Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software
- A Quantity Surveying or Construction Management qualification would be advantageous
