The Position

As part of Caprica’s goal to produce only the best medicinal cannabis products we are now searching for an experienced Production Manager to join our small but highly motivated and skilled team. 

Responsible for all post harvest production activities within our dedicated GMP facility, this role will lead a team to complete drying, bucking, trimming, curing and packaging of medicinal cannabis. The Production Manager will ensure all tasks comply with GMP SOPs and oversee product inventory management, GMP cleaning validation and waste disposal. 

This role will work in collaboration with cultivation, engineering and quality to ensure efficient resource management and optimum quality output.

The Responsibilities

  • Manage all post-harvest tasks including drying, bucking, trimming, curing, packaging, cleaning, inventory management and waste disposal
  • Manage production scheduling in line with cultivation batch cycles to accurately project all GMP facility requirements on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis maximising efficiency and attention to production costs
  • Work with the Master Grower to allocate resources to key GMP activities within the production schedule
  • Ensure production resources are fully trained and adhere to SOPs
  • Build and develop a production team including recruitment, training, performance management and personal development
  • Ensure production records (manual and electronic) are completed accurately and in line with SOPs
  • Oversee and enforce rigorous GMP cleanliness and pest management controls across the GMP facility
  • Ensuring all inventory is accounted for and stored under appropriate conditions
  • Work with the quality department to investigate and resolve quality issues, including complaints and deviations
  • Ensure compliance with GMP accreditation requirements
  • Complete annual Product Quality Reviews
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required

Experience / Qualifications / Education

  • 12 months experience of leading a production or post-harvest function in a GMP cannabis facility
  • Experience of hand and machine cannabis processing
  • Experienced of irradiation, decontamination or extraction would be an advantage
  • Role requires Enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Services) Clearance
  • Competent computer and Microsoft skills
  • Strong communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Completer finisher
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
