Cultivation Technician

Caprica is a Jersey owned Medicinal Cannabis producer, founded in January 2020. Based in a state-of-the-art cannabis cultivation and production facility, Caprica has a Government of Jersey licence to grow and sell high THC cannabis specifically for the medicinal purposes. Cultivation and production of cannabis flowers is conducted under tightly controlled conditions to ensure consistency and high quality across batches. 

This exciting and varied role involves working for Caprica’s Master Grower and Production Manager to cultivate and process medicinal cannabis in a highly controlled cleanroom environment. 

• Daily cultivation tasks including watering, pruning, transplanting, harvesting and waste removal.
• Undertaking daily maintenance and deep cleaning tasks between growing cycles as part of the Integrated Pest Management Strategy.
• Conducting and recording daily plant and environmental records.
• Executing all required tasks according to the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and line manager’s instructions.
• Undertaking monthly production tasks including bucking, trimming and packing product.
• Assisting the Quality Manager in refining SOPs.
• External site maintenance tasks including branchage and strimming tasks. 
• Ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Master Grower. 

• Experience of working in agriculture, greenhouse or cultivation industry.
• Ability to speak, understand and read English.
• Basic computer skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Completer finisher.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Role requires Enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Services) Clearance.
